most important issue in the upcoming election (other than the economy)
Health care reform is THE big one; new tax codes without excessive burdens on the middle class; moving ahead with science and technology regarding alternative energy sources; new forceful regulations on banking and finance; other environmental issues, like more recycling. Repeal of NAFTA; immigration reform, higher standards for imports from China. Many people want the war in Iraq ended immediately. I don't think that will happen, but I'm not in charge of anything important, anyway...
Should all drugs be legalised
those who get out find getting a job difficult with a criminal conviction
legalising drugs would provide employment and tax money instead of now where drugs pay for gangs, people trafficking and terrorism.
it would also free up the police to investigate real crimes, if people are going to take drugs then thats their choice, even though they are currently illegal its very easy to get any drug you want.
-----------------
Remember what happened during prohibition? Crime, violent crime rose. People were gunned down in the streets, massacred in clubs, and gangs ruled whole areas. People in the country were making it in the woods behind their homes, in their basements, and sometimes in their bathrooms. People died from explosions, and the wrong mixture of ingredients.
Sound familiar?
Why are we being saved from ourselves? We can't legislate human vice. We've fought the war on drugs for decades and have only succeeded in spending too much money on something that's never going to happen.
If a woman has a choice on what to do with her body why can't all humans have the same choice?
Legalize all drugs, monitor it, tax it, create jobs and revenue! That will give organized crime and gangs one less thing to fight about.

WWE Vs. TNA
Between the controversy behind the scenes and the anarchy outside of it, it's time for someone to stand up and ask the question: Is Vince doing it right? Or is Jeff doing it right?
I pose this question to two goons (in the nicest way possible) who have been going on and on about nonsense. But like I've always said time and time again, America Loves Anarchy! And in our business, controversy bringsforth drama and plenty of anarchy.
So Ryan and Joe Burgett, this one is all yours.
Below is two sections asking five questions about the current situations in professional wrestling. Your mission should you choose to accept it is pick one of the topics and write an article about them.

Virgin Mary's image in hospital window
Officials at a Springfield hospital say that they have no immediate plans for replacing a window at a doctors’ office building where some people say they have seen the image of the Virgin Mary.
Thousands of people have flocked to Mercy Medical Center to see the image since a patient first reported seeing it at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, said Mark Fulco, senior vice president for strategy and marketing at the hospital.
Fulco said that the hospital was planning to replace the window, which was originally put in place in the 1970s when the building was built.
Bloomberg could breeze over obstacles to 3rd term
In order to seek a third term, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has to circumvent a term-limits law, convince a previously wary public that such limits are negotiable and then win what could be a three-way race.
But the about-face may not prove as difficult as it sounds for the mayor, who has billions of dollars in the bank and the support of former foes, and could soothe New Yorkers' anxiety about the wavering economy.
"It's going to happen," Baruch College public affairs professor Doug Muzzio said Wednesday about a possible third term for Bloomberg. "He's going to spend whatever it takes to make it happen. ... It's pocket change to him."
Bloomberg was expected to announce his plans Thursday, a day after a person briefed on the matter told The Associated Press that the mayor had decided to abandon his long-standing support for the term-limits law and seek a third consecutive term so he could help the city deal with the crisis on Wall Street. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement hadn't been made.
US Senate to Vote on Financial Rescue Plan
President George Bush says a government rescue plan for the U.S. financial system has been "improved" and he is confident it will pass the Senate Wednesday.
Mr. Bush urged lawmakers to take the measure "very seriously" and to pass it to stabilize the financial system and keep Americans from losing more money.

The new plan is said to include provisions to raise the limit on government insurance for bank deposits, and offer tax breaks for individuals and businesses.
The House of Representatives vote against the plan Monday triggered a $1 trillion sell-off on U.S. stock markets. Markets recovered most of the loss on Tuesday when investors thought Congress might work out a compromise and eventually pass a rescue plan.
